At Lesa’s Obedience School, our passion for dogs goes far beyond training—we’re here to build lasting connections between dogs and their humans through trust, communication, and consistency.
Meet Lesa
Lesa is a second-generation dog trainer who has been working with dogs for as long as she can remember. She entered her first obedience competition at just seven years old and never looked back. With decades of experience, Lesa is passionate about helping dogs succeed—but even more passionate about teaching owners how to become confident, capable leaders for their pets. Lesa believes in being a voice for the dogs she works with—translating every tail wag, head tilt, and lick into teachable moments for the humans who love them. When she’s not working with clients, you can find her teaching her Doberman, Vito, new tricks (feel free to ask to see one—you won’t be disappointed!).
Meet Sam
Sam’s journey into dog training began in 2014, when she adopted a high-energy puppy online and quickly realized she was in over her head. That life-changing decision led her to Lesa—not just as a trainer, but as a mentor. After countless private lessons, obedience classes, and hands-on experience, Sam became Lesa’s assistant and discovered her own passion for dog training. Today, Sam brings firsthand experience and empathy to every session. She loves helping owners unlock better communication with their dogs and believes every challenge is an opportunity to grow a stronger bond. When she’s not training, Sam enjoys taking her (now very well-behaved) dog Jax on scent tracking adventures and neighborhood walks.
